Welcome to our LGF Chapter

The East Central Minnesota Branch Chapter was established in 2005 by a group of dedicated volunteers.  We have been taking seniors, veterans, and disabled individuals out on our handicapped accessible pontoon for 19 years.  Many of our guests are residents of nursing homes, assisted living residents, group homes and individuals from the North Branch, Cambridge, Forest Lake, Chisago City, Pine City areas and beyond.

Our original pontoon is docked at Flickabirds Resort on Rush Lake in Rush City, MN.  Their generosity in allowing us to keep the pontoon at the resort makes it easy access for our guest and convenient for our volunteers.  It also provides a great place to grab lunch before or after a trip for those interested.

In 2016 we were able to add a second boat, we soon discovered that it was a little small for our outings so this year we purchased a larger pontoon that will accompany 10 people.  This boat serves the Chisago Lakes Area.  Just like our original boat this boat is available for outings Monday through Thursday to serve seniors, veterans, the disabled as well as youth.

Let’s Go Fishing is a nonprofit 5501 (c) 3 corporation with over 25 chapters in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Arizona.  Our program is completely funded through donations and business ads (placed on the side of the pontoon) and our annualBreakfast/Silent Auction fundraiser.  All of the work is done by volunteers.
